    Default Converting Saiga to AK.

Hi. I want to change Saiga 7.62 x 39 semi auto hunting rifle. Stock, pistol grip etc. Question is can I use the original trigger and trigger guard or do I need to replace that as well.

I think you need to replace it, iirc, because the sporter's trigger position is different.
I may have some (definitely not all) spares for such a conversion.

I converted my .308 from sporter to AK,
you can reuse the trigger guard with some bending but that's about it.
a slightly modified LM4 trigger asembly worked well for me (hammer needed to be ground a bit), not sure about the dimentions in the x39 version ( a salvaged AK trigger set didn't work for me - the hammer was too high when in the cocked position and the bolt would get stuck)

a regular AK trigger set should fit the x39 with minimal modification.
You will also need a T-nut to attach the pistol grip ( Hogue pistol grips come with a T-nut in the box )
