If you are on a tight budget, consider one of the Vector range of scopes. They are Chinese made and I don't expect the kind of after sales service and repair options that you can get from Vortex, Leupold and Lynx. So if it breaks a few years down the line, you may very well have to just dump it and buy a new scope. Factory defects are covered by the warranty and CPA. I bough one from Roscoe Tactical and Hunting (check on facebook) and am happy with the price, service and the scope. Will see how it performs over the years.

Whatever scope you get, the following is vital in making your life easier and elevate your enjoyment, in my opinion:

    1. FFP is much easier. The holdovers stays the same, no matter what magnification.
    2. Mrad over MOA. Metric is easier than imperial. 10cm at 100m is easier than 1” at 100 yards.
    3. Mrad turrets and Mrad reticle. If you do not have time to dial the dope, you just hold over the same elevation in your reticle. Vortex Diamond Back, Vortex Strike Eagle and A-R’s Vector are examples.
    4. Close parallax adjustment. Because you are going to shoot at 25m.

I have the Vortex Strike Eagle and I love it.

Is there any accuracy difference between the CZ and the Sako?

Both are good. It will depend more on the individual rifle and whether you find the ammo it likes.

If R20,000 is in your budget, have a look at the Delta Javelin 4.5-30x56

What about the Leupold VX Freedom Rimfire 3-9x40?
I am considering that for my CZ 455

Dont need to win matches just want to maintain competitive shooter status.
