Newcomer from CT

Hi guys

I'm Matt from Cape Town.

My shooting history consists exclusively of open-days at FBSSC over the years. By now I'm sure I've shot at least half their guns available.
My favorite is definately the clay-pigeon shooting, and the .308 hunting rifle after that.

I used to do indoor archery (With my hunting and competition compound bows), but the range closed a while back.

We've bought ourselves a plot in the country with plans to leave the city, so it's about time I get my gun license.

I'm currently busy with my proficiency, I'm doing all modules / classes in one go.

I plan to get a pistol for self-defense and a basic rifle for plinking at the range, but will consider hunting in the future as well - I like biltong.

I've joined the forum so I can get advice and view classifieds while I'm shopping for my first guns.

This forum has been useful so far, and I look forward to participating in discussions as well now.
