Also depends on what you shipped, I had a scenario with a Lithium battery across the world and got stopped at Dubai and sent back to the US.
So hopefully this is not such a scenario.

Re: Anyone had this before with UPS?
Ive got packages in coming via Aramex Global. And they are struggling with Flights. So I believe the same applies to UPS. Not enough Flights at moment to ship items.
Also saw note on Aramex Global. Only high value items will be processed by Customs. Low value will not be done at moment. If I read correct anything under R500 is low value

Seems it's now stuck in this perpetual loop of warehouse scans and customs kak... yes I paid the duty fees the moment I got the email from UPS.

What items is it. Maybe you require an ITAC permit for them to clear it.

Just accessories, even gave them the HS code, which is when I got the link to pay the duties etc. Usually after duties are paid it's at my desk the next day...it's also my first items coming in this year, and it's all stuff that's new.

Phone them. They will put you through to the person dealing with the customs clearance. Ask them what customs wants.
This looks like customs asking for additional docs or inspections. Often just a screen grab of the item listing required

Re: Anyone had this before with UPS?
Customs wants ITAC paperwork for some reason. Since I'm working from home, and the forms need to be printed, this just added a whole new level of fuckery to my life...

Re: Anyone had this before with UPS?
As a note. I ordered plastic 22lr ammo holder from Bronwells. Its a little plastic holder that clips onto belt.
Has got 10 tubes holding 5 22lr each.
It was not a magazine. Nor part of a firearm. Merely a plastic holder which could be used for anything not even firearm related.
Customs held it until I got an Itac permit for it.
Itac permit listed it as plastic item. Not even firearm related at all.
After taking this Itac to Customs they gave me item.
