A barrel change will likely cost the same or less, but since this process does not change the exterior of the antique rifle, it would be the only option. I do however fear that any collector value would still be severely affected.
Is the "Plezier Mauser" an original factory version or one of the commemorative replicas built by Musgrave?

I'm hoping that barrel sleeving could be done without having to go through the paperwork that rebarrelling requires. If so, it would be worth it for that reason alone.
