Default Recommended Shot Timer & any for sale

    Good morning fellow shooters.

This will be my first shot timer I am looking to purchase, so any advice on which is commonly used. I have done some online research and taken note that the Pocket Pro ll & the CED 7000 comes up quite a bit.

Also checking if there are any members on the forum that might be looking to sell their timer.

    Thanks.
    Craig.

    Hi.
I have used both the above ones you mention, and they are nice and compact. SADPA supplied some clubs with the Shotduino timer made locally, and I have used that mostly at Club matches. Shotduino now has developed a much more compact and smaller timer which I bought about a month ago and nothing wrong with it. Service is also excellent.

The CED7000 (which I just sold) is very good.

I actually quite like the Pocket Pro 2 as well. The screen is placed on top of the housing rather than on the side (like the CED) and makes for easier reading.

I've also found the Pact Club 3 to be interesting. Lucas of T-Rex arms rocks with one of those. Now, mention of his name might immediately sway some people towards the Pact and others in the opposite direction so it really just depends on who you choose to listen to.

Either way, I don't think you can go wrong with any of those.

I've seen an earlier iteration Shotduino and at the time it was pretty basic. I don't know about now. For me, there would have to be a decent cost saving over one of the established brands to make me select it.

The new Shotduino are very nice. And fixable!

Unlike the yellow timers of which I have 3 that died and cannot be repaired. so more than R7K worth of junk now.

For my own clarity, you're referring to the Speed Timer 3000, right?

Yep. What a load of shit.

When they work, they work, but when they fail you throw them away and invest another R2500...

If they sniff water they die.

Anyone with a broken Speedtimer they are willing to donate to science? I'm willing to try and revive it. Can't make any promises that it will work, but I can try?

Maybe there is a common failure and if one can be fixed, they all can.
