Importing magazines from the US
Hi all,
Does anyone know if this can be done?
Looking to get 3 or 4 steel Saiga 308 magazines from the US but not sure if this can be done?
Thanks!

Yeah you'll be ok.
Order from Brownells. If the item is allowed to be exported, they'll process the sale.
Remember to factor in the shipping costs and import duties when working out how much it's going to cost you.

Try and use a courier if you can and skip the SAPO black hole.

Re: Importing magazines from the US
Depending on how it's shipped you will need a permit to clear when it arrives.
I have just ordered a folding stock adapted for an AR.
The shipped it as follows.
HS Code: Schedule B: 9305.20.9000 : Parts and accessories of articles of headings 9301 to 9304
That is the ha code for parts and accessories for firearms. 9301 to 9304 is firearm categories.
In this case you will need a permit to clear customs and you can apply with ITAC. Takes 5 working days according to them. I applied on Wed this week. Should hopefully have by next week.
All they asked me was to fill a form and give them a copy of my firearm license.

Re: Importing magazines from the US
Generally couriers have their own built in clearing agents.
DHL contacts me to pay the duty or further information when they reject my customs entry which they do on your behalf.
I am waiting for an AR folder to arrive. When it does, custom clearance will be rejected as you need a permit. DHL will contact me, hopefully I will have the permit on hand (applied last week) and then they will submit for clearance again, which all goes well will clear and they will proceede to deliver after I pay the vat and any duties which may apply pending the category of product.
If normal post office you may have to appoint a clearing agent to do the clearance of the package.
