Proficiency/Competency Test
Hello fellow GS members.
I intend to write and do my competency test this week or next week...and I'm am stressing my life away regarding the theory part. It seems too easy when going through the open book part that we're supposed to complete at home. Am I missing something?
Will the actual theory test be much harder or essentially what is in the study book.
I don't think that I have ever stressed so much about an exam in my entire life...sleepless nights kinda stress..
Any advice and guidance will be greatly appreciated.
Regards
KN2

Re: Proficiency/Competency Test
Ha Ha...it's super easy; if you can use common sense you'll be fine.
Yes, it is actually that easy!
The test questions are at the same level (if not a sampling of the questions) as the learner books.
You're stressing for nothing.

Relax
Study the material, but it is not that hard. This from a person who went though school without an idea of what was in those books they gave us.

Re: Proficiency/Competency Test
If you don't accidentally shoot the instructor then you should be fine.
It's similar to your learners test and practical driving test.
It's a lot to learn since it has to cover the whole theory but if know the basics you will get your more advanced answers.

Re: Proficiency/Competency Test
I also stressed a bit before I did mine but it was really easy.
The open book test and the final exam is basically almost identical.
But you do need to prepare and read through the manuals quite a bit.
You will be fine.

Proficiency/Competency Test
It really is that simple. I did the open book and a couple of hours refresh the day of the test. Don’t stress. I did stress a bit and made dumb mistakes and still passed easily

Re: Proficiency/Competency Test
It is easy if you read the book once. Almost impossible to fail.
