Re: Proficiency/Competency Test
I have done further comp tests a couple of weeks ago, the test is the same questions as the open book, just in a different order.
Your should be fine if you have done the open book test and read the manual from cover to cover properly.

Re: Proficiency/Competency Test
Test questions are selected from the open book questions, often a bit dumbed down, like "give 3 reasons" in the test whereas open book says "give 5 reasons". You will not see a question in the test that you haven't already seen in the open book.

Re: Proficiency/Competency Test
HI Guys! Finally got around to doing the competency after a year of putting it off! And I passed!
Check the target. Not bad after not shooting a gun for over 5 years!

Re: Proficiency/Competency Test
Yes, but while you are waiting you can start shopping around for your first firearm & do research on whatever is catching your eye & budget.
You can do something every few weeks, like look at safes & perhaps get one installed ahead of your license applicatiion (you will need photos of this bolted down)
You can also start putting a file together with everything needed for the license app.
Then when your comp arrives, your ready to roll.

Re: Proficiency/Competency Test
Nice. Now get your competency app in ASAP, especially since kzn provincial is so slow.
