Re: Bullet performance data base
I agree but it would be nice to have them more locally available as a option.
To be honest I have only ever seen them once in a gunshop and that was at kalahari arms all the other times I have had to order from one of there representatives.
Then they phone me 2 months later to say it's ready. For me that's just not good enough!
If the importers of imported bullets such as Barnes, Swift and Woodleigh etc can sort of keep us with a constant supply then why can't GS Custom?
Something doesn't add up for all we know they import from the US now and sell to us common folks and don't even produce anymore in SA.
Oh well they still remain a very good bullet!

Re: Bullet performance data base
Used within spec their Bullets do the job. However I feel their brass needs work (at 2250 f/ps cup and core Bullets works great)

Re: Bullet performance data base
In the past I used a lot of PMP standard and pro-amm bullets, out of ignorance and the lack of other options. I never had any failures that I could blame on the bullet.
Going through this post there are a few posts of PMP bullets performing surprisingly very well. perhaps they are not as K@K as we have all been lead to believe.

Re: Bullet performance data base
TStone is that muzzle velocity correct?
I also only shoot pmp 150gr in my 303 and thought they were doing closer to 2600fps muzzle velocity? But in fact I only guessed.
I also shot a wildebees 4 weeks ago at about 60 meters. Quartering away. Bullet did not exit and wildebees did about 10meters but if was only pure adrenaline as I have not seen more damage to vital organs in my life. Heart and liver everything came out in small juicelike pieces. Bullet retained was 137 grain. Also nice mushroom like your bullet did.
