First deer of the season with my .50 muzzleloader
I managed to down a deer last week with my muzzleloader, a nice slick dry doe. I was trying to get a bead on a turkey @ 50 yards when I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I was a deer that was only 9 yards from me. She was trying to pick me out among the leaves and branches when I shifted my rifle to my left side and fired. It was the first time I ever shot anything left-handed. She dropped right there.
She is now in the freezer.
