Just phoned CFR 012 353 6111 option 2 to query if my license card has been printed. Phone answered within a minute so can't complain about that. My application 850xxxx Gauteng Lyttelton approved 12 May 2021 - CFR lady states my card was printed yesterday 10 June.

Very nice indeed! Lucky you, I've had my card since Tuesday but RAM took ages to give a quote so my Glock is only getting shipped on Monday from Centurion to Cape Town. These last couple of days are killing me....

What that cost you, about R11 a round? Can't be much more than about double the price of a 9mmP round

well, we are going to disregard safari outdoor, R1800 / 20

the ammo awaited is american eagle by federal.

to reload with new brass you are looking at R185 / round

A while back Euro Optic Africa was selling ammo for R195 per round.

Why you not interested in the R90 a round PMP ammo?

Potential inconsistencies in case volumes makes any round dangerous.

i do believe pmp is good brass though.

I am not interested in paying R90 per round if it could have inconsistencies.

at the moment I have in excess of about 30 casings of federal, and 40 live rounds on the way.

As I do not foresee me shooting more than 10 rounds of 50 bmg at any given time at the range, at first i will be taking additional ammo with for other people to enjoy.

Reason why i got the 50 is to participate in k02m, once i start competitively ill enquire about sponsorship from my employer ; as they are in the ammunitions trade.

I am sorry for this being off topic.

    sleep well.

Mine was approved a day later on 13th May.
Perhaps its time for me to take a trip down to the Benoni station & see what my DFO might be sitting on.
Went down to DFO on Friday morning, was told by the admin lady they had no cards at all & I must wait for them to phone me.
4 hours later at 3pm, the Captain phones me & tells me that my card was ready for collection.
Got there with a few pther people, all of which had been phoned to collect cards for licences approved April & May.

    HAPPINESS !!!!
