Nice system there Gert. Makes me miss my Cruiser. Are those Furnlock sliders? If they are you won't be disappointed. I built a fridge tray for my bakkie with them and at full extension with a fully loaded double door fridge they barely deflect at all.

Yes, a Land Cruiser is for sure a car with a soul...
I enjoy driving this beast with it`s 4.2 Turbo Diesel straight six cylinders.
That low growling sound is something to appreciate every time..
Indeed, Aofpatroll, this set can hold up 75kg dead weight at full extension. This build is solid, durable and will work well. I really am enjoying this build , it is an enjoyable project.

Ok Gert
So we are well into 'next year' I believe.
The anticipation is killing us.
Please share with us the latest development on this interesting project?
I trust the eye surgery went well?
Maybe you got stuck somewhere in Zambia?
I for one have been inspired to get an 8x68S !

Re: 8x68 S Owners opinions are welcome
Good to hear from you Giyani, I still need to fit barrels onto the 8x68s AND 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser.
At this stage I am spending a lot of time on converting my Land Cruiser to a capable wild camping vehicle ...as well as building a 4x4 Wild camp trailer for trips to Botswana and Angola as well as Tanzania. This is my priority now for the past two years and the near future .
I am planning to fit the barrels during this coming December holiday, by then I would have completed most of the projects on my Land Cruiser.
The trailer build commenced last week and will be done in the following two years .
Then I have to find time to forge knives as well...
so I really try to prioritize , not that I get it right every time...the 8x68 is still my second Favorite caliber hunting rifle ...the 404 Jeffery being the number one ...

Ok Gert
I'm glad we don't need to send out a search party as yet.
All the best with these building projects!
