Lynx Safaris
Had a great weekend hosted by Russel of Lynx Safaris in Naboomspruit.
Was mine and my son's first hunt. We each got a tracker and seperate areas to hunt in. Walk and stalk from daybreak.
Comfortable, clean accomodation, excellent food and friendly atmosphere.
My bag was empty, but the experience was greatly enjoyed. I did make a lot of noise stomping over dry leaves, cracking twigs underfoot and breaking dry branches on the game trails. I tried not to, but when I moved slowly, I just made the same noise, more slowly.
My son bagged 3 impala over 2 days.
The staff were excellent. Carcass recovery was swift [ the staff have radios ] and there are options as to the meat processing.
We will have biltong for the foreseeable future.

Re: Lynx Safaris
Congrats on your first hunt and your son's impalas. I hope that as you become more experienced you will still enjoy it - as you did - even when your bag is empty. You are on the right track i.e. it's about the hunting and the whole experience and not only about the killing. All the best.

Can't agree more with Dimitri. It's about the experience which you will never forget.
