Re: Rifle/Long Range Shooting Course
I have a 30.06 with a Leupold BDC dial and would like to learn to shoot this rifle to its true potential. Also want to get to start hand loading etc. Have bought some of the essentials. When do you think you would be doing this course?

Adrian. What distances are you looking at? I might be interested but I will be shooting open sights.

Has this been done before? Over how many days does the training take place?

Re: Rifle/Long Range Shooting Course
Nope, Ross is (or has been) planning this one from scratch and trying to balance training needs/requirements vs. round count and time (economic realities).

Re: Rifle/Long Range Shooting Course
Sounds Great. Here is some of the course layout that some American Shooting Schools offer.
Day One:
Terminal Ballistics and Bullet Performance
External Ballistics and Trajectory Validation
Ballistic Compensation Techniques
Long Range Shooting Equipment
Cartridge/Ammunition Selection
Shooting Fundamentals
Range Shooting Basics
Rifle Cleaning and MaintenanceDay Two:
Rangefinding, Errors and Equipment
Wind Deflection, Reducing and Reading
Correcting for Air Density Changes
Measuring and Correcting for Shot Angle
Exploring Spin Drift and Coriolis
Shot Placement
Advanced/Field Shooting
I hope we can adapt to our circumstances.
