Tikka LSA-65
I own a Tikka LSA-65 in .270 Winchester. I know it was manufactured in 1971.
Tikka use to manufacture the LSA-65 (long action) and LSA-55 (short action). The LSA-65 later being replaced by the Model 695 (I think). I know that the rifle was also sold in the USA as the Ithaca LSA-65 & Ithaca-55.
I however need, and want information on the action. What was it based upon, and what was unique about the action?

Re: Tikka LSA-65
Yesterday I spent some time on the range (very special private range) and shot about 100 rounds. Extremely satisfied with the resulting groups. However there were 2 rockies and 1 mynah that did not know it was not safe to land between me and the targets. ;)
If you have ever seen Jarhead, and they talk about the pink mist, I saw the pink mist yesterday.
All that I realised again yesterday is that ever my original Brenneke made rifle does not have have an action or trigger equal to my LSA-65. I'd be pretty happy if I could find an LSA-65 in .30-06 and an LSA-55 in .308.
