CZ P10 dirty nose cleaning
I have this copper deposit on the front of my P10c that I cannot seem to remove. Any products recommended to safely do so?
Yes, it is not from normal usage, but firing 80 rounds CMJ in a Micro Roni...

Re: CZ P10 dirty nose cleaning
Can it affect the function of the gun?
If not, why bother?

Re: CZ P10 dirty nose cleaning
I know the whole thing of "it's a tool" but why not clean it?
Keeping your stuff looking good within reason is fine.
My outlaw will shit in his best pants if you don't wipe off his garage tools with a cloth and brake cleaner after you are done with them, even though "it's just tools"

I find RHT cleaner works well. Or maybe use a dremel with a buffer tip and some cleaner might work. Or maybe wipe it with an alcohol swab and make sure you oil after.

Re: CZ P10 dirty nose cleaning
Just clean it with oil as part of your regular cleaning, it will eventually come off.

Re: CZ P10 dirty nose cleaning
A tool with a wood handle that's been sucking up oil for its entire life.
A rubber grip on a tool that's becoming sticky and goopy after breaking down. That is the absolute worst.
But to give credit to the outlaw. Working in his garage with his tools is a pleasure. Everything has a place and in its place. Enough hand cleaner to clean an army. I suspect it's the German blood in him that makes him very particular. And he keeps Wynn in business with the 50 can a week brake cleaner habit lol

Re: CZ P10 dirty nose cleaning
For sure. No need to cerakote your gun every time it gets a scratch, or keeping it in a safe in fear of it getting blemished. But at the same time, it's nice to keep it looking good with minimal effort.
Speaking of which, my edc is looking sad. Fluff and sweat and all other nastiness that comes with using it daily. Should actually do a basic strip and do a wipe down and lube...
