In Dick's world a gunfight typically consists of one or two attackers and 3 shots are fired. In our scenario armed home invaders arrive in a gang of five or more wearing body armour. Our shopping centre robberies will consist of gangs in excess of 15 bearing AK47s and include stopper groups and lookouts. Our cash it transit gangs will often be in excess of 25 strong with assault rifles and led by current or ex military or police members.

In Dick's world the prospect of a civilian getting into a gunfight with armed attackers is relatively rare. I personally know more than a dozen people who have survived multi-attacker armed robberies, myself included.

I think he has a vast knowledge of firearms and from his perspective a lot of what we are talking about must sound like Gecko45 to him.
No Paul, its just that Dick's a complete jerk. A bit of insomnia on my part and somewhere around 1 am I found a deeply racist post by Dick expressing the view that all black soldiers (k factors he called them) are hopeless soldiers. He obviously has never heard of 32 Bn, 101, RAR, Selous Scouts, or Reconaissance to mention only some. Apparently he can't conceive the valour and grit with which black men, friend and foe, can and have fought. I guess one of the mods has knocked it out by now.

The guy is in the same class as our erstwhile Fanie.

And the more you know the more difficult it becomes.

My biggest pain is that different occasions require different apparel. Weddings a little ruger , summer something light and winter when you have enough concealment by means of clothing, allows a bigger gun.

For the last 25 years about I have been using my mod 21. Then it was sport and EDC gun. Now I use different guns for sport.

The problem is the grip angle of the glock is different to my STI. So does the SIG, M&P, HK etc now become a better bet to make sure I am on target and not nose in the air?

I honestly thinkers whole grip angle thing isn't actually a thing

Look at the sights. Put them on what you want to shoot. Pull trigger

    Profit.

remember some of us has real jobs and don't play with guns the whole day. But you are right. I do find it takes longer to get sights lined up when I grab the tupperware.
