Where are you located?
3 weeks is not enough to have a custom knife made, from my experience it takes closer to 3-4 months (depending on the work etc that goes into it). Therefore you will be looking at current stock. I suggest you have a look at the names often used/mentioned on GS, the guys here know what they're talking about when it comes to judging a knife!! From there start phoning the various makers, and possibly a retailer like SharpEdge to ascertain stock levels (many knife makers do not keep stock around as they either make on order or prepare for the various show days). Just keep in mind that a retailer will add +- 50% to the price the maker would charge.

For availability, pocket knife wise check Trevor Burger of Burgerknives.co.za
The list posted earlier:
Neels Van Den Berg
Vincent French
Lourens Prinsloo
Neels Pretorius
Robert Bauchop
Jan Hendrik Viljoen
Hylton Rutherford
JD Van Deventer (JDVDKnives)
Are all great guys. I can ad Stuart Smith, Kosie and Willem Steenkamp and Deon Nel as well.
If you are in Johannesburg area come to the show in a few weeks. Quite a few you will be able to chose from. I will be there taking some photos again as well.
I am flattered for the mention Skaaphaas, but I am no where near to having stock at this stage. Too busy with my day job and tweaking designs before sending off to have profiles cut.
