Re: .45 ACP Test Load results
I found this on Lee's site:
Handgun/Pistol Carbide 3-die set
Carbide handgun dies contain the carbide sizer, the powder through expanding die, the seater/crimping die, a powder dipper, shell holder and load data. The seater/crimper die applies a modified taper crimp and eventually a roll crimp negating the need for a separate taper crimp die. View available 3-die sets online:

IIRC the Lee 4 die set includes the Factory crimp die. I have an older 3 die set and bought the Factory Crimp die from a GS member. It works very well in my .45 reloading setup and the crimp is much heavier than with the Lee seating / crimping die or a separate taper crimping die. So-much so that I have had to reduce powder significantly to prevent over pressure.
I would assume that the Lee Factory crimp die is actually a taper crimp die but Lee seems to distinguish between a taper and factory crimp die.
